World Sommelier Champion reviews Shizen-koshu wines
March 15, 2007 - Mr. Shinya Tasaki is considered Japan's #1 Wine Sommelier and in 1995 became the first Japanese to win the annual "World's Greatest Sommelier Concours". Mr. Tasaki now runs the Shinya Tasaki Wine Salon, and regularly conducts lectures, writes and appears on televesion. He is instrumental in promoting the pleasure of tasting wine throughout Japan. In March of 2007 Mr. Tasaki tried Shizen 2006 wines and submitted both his tasting notes and reccomendations on what kinds of Japanese food would go best with each of these native wines.
